The polysomnography program is suspended, effective spring 2021. During the suspension period, no new students can be admitted to the program. Current students must complete the program or change their major by fall 2023. At that time, the program will be formally discontinued. Students cannot be enrolled in a discontinued program.

CAAHEP accreditation certifies the program's substantial compliance with the rigorous, nationally accepted accreditation standards as outlined by the Committee on Accreditation of Polysomnographic Technologist Education (CoA PSG).

Additionally, CAAHEP accreditation is the educational route into polysomnographic technology that is a recognized pathway into Sleep Technologist Licensure in Maryland and in Washington, DC.
