What is RaptorSearch?

RaptorSearch is not a database itself but is an integrated searching tool that finds items that are owned or licensed by the library (such as individual books, e-books, videos, etc.) and content in other databases subscribed to by MC Library. It allows you to search almost everything we have from a single search box. Results may include articles from journals and magazines, newspapers, books and e-books, or videos and other media. RaptorSearch is a good choice as a starting point for your research.

Terms in this Guide

  • Check-out如从图书馆借书;从图书馆拿点东西回家。 你需要出示你的MC ID卡来查看物品。
  • Circulating Item: A book or a library item that you can check out to take home. The loan period at MC Library is generally three weeks.
  • Intercampus Loan (ICL):允许您从其他MC Library位置借阅资料的服务。
  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL):允许您通过自己的图书馆从其他图书馆借阅资料的服务。
