Macau Partnership
Macau, also spelled Macao, is officially known as the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. Macau is located on the southern coast of China. It is situated 37 miles southwest of Hong Kong and 90 miles from Guangzhou of mainland China.
Macau Millennium College and Montgomery College recognize the value of educational exchanges between the two institutions for quality education of students. The two institutions have established a partnership for academic exchanges between faculty and students. Montgomery College (MC) participates with Macau Millennium College in academic exchanges where MC faculty members go to Macau during the summer to teach English to Chinese students.
About Us
Montgomery College's partnership with Macau Millennium College (MMC) affords MC instructors the opportunity to teach in China. The partnership arose in 2004 when the College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Macau Millennium College. Montgomery College has been providing service in the humanities at the request of MMC since 2004.
Macau Millennium College, a private institution for higher education, was established in 2001 to offer specialized programs in business, economics, management, biotechnology, language, arts, and humanities. Students can pursue an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or certification for various academic programs. To learn more about the partnership, see the video above.

In addition to the application form and resume, two reference letters are required, one from the Department Chair and one from the Area Dean.

Macau Facts
Macau is located in Southeast Asia approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) southwest of Hong Kong, bordering China. Made up of Macau city and the islands of Taipa and Coloane, Macau has a land area of 21 square kilometers (8.3 square miles). Comparatively, the territory of Macau is 4 times smaller than the Manhattan area of New York City.
Macau is joined to the Chinese province of Guangdong by a narrow land corridor. Because of land reclamation efforts, Macau has enlarged its territory by 50 percent since 1912.
