Military and Veterans' Benefits

Montgomery College recognizes and appreciates the contributions and sacrifice that our students make as members of the military. We offerextensive military support services, and we can help you access a variety of financial aid and tuition assistance programs available for active duty service members, reservists, guardsmen, veterans, and dependents.

Active Duty, Reservists, and Guardsmen

Tuition Assistance Programs for Active Duty Service members: The application process, criteria for eligibility, obligated service, and restrictions differ.

Maryland National Guard Half-Tuition Waiver: You are eligible for a 50% tuition waiver if you are a member of the Maryland National Guard with at least 24 months remaining to serve on the current enlistment of the member; OR an officer or warrant officer serving for a minimum of 24 months.

Veterans

There are a variety of VA Education Benefit programs offered at Montgomery College, including the Post 9/11 GI Bill. If you are unsure which chapter of benefits you should use, contact the VA at 888-GIBILL-1 (888-442-4551).

Dependents
