This is the last session of tech it out until September 2023, so we encourage you to attend.

During this 45-minute Tech-It-Out, participants will have the chance to choose one of the following brief ten-minute awareness sessions for a quick overview of a technical topic.

• Padlet: Allows learners to collaborate via an online poster board, which allows the posting of text, images, links, documents, voice, and video recordings
• Kahoot: A game-based learning platform that allows faculty to create engaging quiz based games that make learning fun for students. Quizzes can be taken on a computer or any smart device.
• Notion: Is a free, all-in-one workspace that can be used by educators and students alike for notetaking, creating webpages, wikis, knowledge and data management, or project and task management. It is a completely flexible workspace that each user can customize to fit their needs.

After the speed sessions, we will share a five-minute Blackboard tip or trick.

For the last thirty minutes, we will have an open discussion and share things that the group is already using, or that look interesting in educational technology.

Dr. Campbell holds a bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University, a master of management studies from the University of Waikato (in New Zealand), and a doctorate of education degree from Northeastern University. Her office will be located in the Central Services Building.

Joyce Matthews, who has served with distinction as the interim senior vice president for the division since January 2022. She will re-assume her position as the vice president for development and alumni relations and executive director of the Montgomery College Foundation in June.

The General Education 2023 Spring Showcase workshop is a collaboration with MC's office of Equity and Inclusion and keynote speaker, Dr. Bethany Miller, Director of Institutional Research & Assessment at Macalester College. Dr. Miller will lead a discussion about equity & inclusion as an integral part of a General Education course.

Upon completion of the workshop, attendees will be able to:

• incorporate MC's definition of equity & inclusion in General Education courses.
• identify existing components of equity & inclusion reflected in General Education courses.
• collaborate with partners across the College to establish equity & inclusion common practices as integral to General Education courses.
