Originally from Harlem, New York, Ms. Williams is a proud alumnus of the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts. She also graduated from Coppin State University and earned her Master of Science Degree in Alcohol & Substance Abuse Counseling. She has been employed at Montgomery College for almost four years as a Learning Skills Support Specialist in the Health Sciences Department at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. Ms. Williams is a graduate of the 27th Leadership Development Institute (LDI), a member of the Montgomery College Rising Professionals Association (MCRPA) and the American Association of Women at Community Colleges (AAWCC) and the Montgomery College Global Leaders and Speakers Toastmasters and currently holds the position of Vice-President of Membership.

Workshop Proposals
To help make this a successful day of personal and professional development, we encourage all staff who are interested in facilitating a workshop to submit a workshop proposal. The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, February 17, 2023.
Staff Distinguished Award
The Staff Distinguished Service Award is a cash award established from an endowment fund left by Ms. Peggy Beebe, former special assistant for staff concerns, to be presented yearly to a deserving staff employee as determined by their peers. Submit your nomination. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, February 24, 2023.
Degree Completion
We would like to recognize your achievement! If you are a staff member who completed a degree/certificate program after May 2022, or will complete a degree/certificate program by May 2023, please fill out the Degree Completion Form. The deadline to submit is Friday, February 24, 2023.

The Staff Council serves as a liaison between staff and the College Council and addresses issues of concerns on behalf of Montgomery College staff. Additionally, the council also does research to find solutions to these issues and presents recommendations to the College Council, or other councils as appropriate, for further consideration and/or action.
